NDRC member Bill Simpson has just returned from a weekend visit to Bath and Oxford. Bill was supported on the trip by staff member Bill Mitchell, who helped organise it through National Holidays.
Bill Simpson said, ” We left Sunderland on Friday morning, 1st April for a weekend away to visit Bath and Oxford. We stopped for lunch on the way down at a quiet little village called Moreton-in-Marsh. Back on the bus and on to Swindon where we were staying in the ‘Jurys Inn’ for the Friday and Saturday nights. On Saturday morning we were taken on an excursion to Bath for the day. I thought Bath was a lovely place, full of great buildings and steeped in history. Sunday morning and we boarded the bus homeward bound. On the way we called into Oxford where we spent four pleasant hours sightseeing. All in all it was a very enjoyable couple of days away. Good company, great sites and first class food and accommodation. Where next I wonder?”
